We are supporting Housing Choices Australia, a respected not-for-profit housing provider, as they seek an experienced Housing Officer to join their Tasmania team on a 12-month contract.
This role has been created due to internal movements and includes a combination of ongoing hours and maternity leave coverage.

- Based in Devonport and/or Shorewell Park (some travel between sites may be required
- Working across village-style housing and broader tenancy portfolios

This role will suit someone who is comfortable managing competing priorities, and can confidently support tenants with varying and complex needs.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing tenancy relationships to support sustainable, long-term housing
- Coordinating rent management, property inspections and tenancy risks
- Supporting tenants experiencing vulnerability or housing instability
- Collaborating with Allocations, Sustainment and NDIS teams
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring legislative and policy compliance
About you
- Demonstrated experience managing tenancies in social/community housing or private real estate
- Strong customer service focus with a calm, empathetic approach
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence working across multiple sites and independently when required
- Understanding of tenancy legislation and compliance requirements
- Relevant qualifications in housing, community services or similar (or equivalent experience)
